One day in 2021 I was walking around my hometown of Irthlingborough when I stumbled upon this very old gateway in the middle of a housing estate. What is this thing? Where's the local knowledge when you need it? This is why I have been building Habitat - an open source decentralised social platform focussed on location. You're looking at the Irthlingborough instance of Habitat right now. At this time of writing this, it's very much a work in progress. The plan is for anyone to be able to create their own instance of Habitat for their local area, where people can discuss all things local.
